I was fortunate to be enabled to see Mr Gnanalingham due to the help of an Anglican charity, hoping for help towards a diagnosis for a troubling numbness in my feet and a linked difficulty in balance and walking. My excellent GP practice in Altrincham, assumed it was linked to spinal difficulties, hence being sent to Mr Gnanalingham, whose excellent reputation they knew of. Although this assumption was continued by others Mr Gnanalingham was the only one who offered, what proved after many more months and delays, to be a correct analysis, that my symptoms were not related to spinal difficulties but that in his view it was likely to be a rare auto-immune disorder. This proved to be the case, as through the NHS team at Salford Royal's Neurological unit I was eventually diagnosed with a peripheral neuropathy . Last but not least, I so appreciated Mr Gnanalingham's respectful, unhurried most courteous manner, which I am sure would be the case, whether you were an NHS or private patient. It was a pleasure to have had the experience of meeting such a consultant."

I attended a consultation which was made very quickly with Mr Kanna Gnanalingham as a private patient at the Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle. From the moment I stepped in the room I felt at ease and I was given plenty of time to explain about the numbness and tingling in my left arm. Mr Gnanalingham examined my reduced mobility in my arm and thoroughly explained what caused this problem and what he could do to help. His patient care and communication is excellent and I knew he would do his best for me. His excellent secretary Vaani quickly made my appointment for an injection to be carried out into my discs in the back of my neck to ease pain and stiffness. Treatment was excellent at the Alexandra and the procedure was carried out and I was kept informed all the way in what Mr Gnanalingham was doing. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Gnanalingham to anyone who has problems within his speciality . I felt very reassured every step of the way and I am very grateful for his first class service.

I attended a consultation with Mr Gnanaligham in November of 2019 because of pain and loss of fine motor function in my right arm and hand and also paresthesia in my left arm. It was suggested I see Mr Gnanalingham by my physiotherapist. After an MR scan and a follow up consultation it was decided to do an ACDF procedure on 2 levels of my Cervical spine. To cut a long story short because of the Coronavirus outbreak this was carried out in October 2020 and not in April as planned. Throughout the wait and during the procedure Mr Gnanalingham and Vaani, his secretary, were very attentive as to progress and kept me informed about what was happening. I am delighted to say everything went well and I can now write normally and I have no pain in my shoulders or arms. I would recommend this procedure and Mr Gnanaligham to anyone suffering symptoms as I did.
